In no particular order:

-The U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Baker Islands, Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Johnston Atoll, Kingman Reef, The Midway Islands, Navassa Island, Palmyria Atoll, Wake Island, and American Samoa are american territories, not countries.
-Christmas Island and The Australian Antarctic Territory are australian territories, not countries.
-French Polynesia, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Reunion, French Guiana, and The French Southern and Antarctic Lands are (obviously) french territories, not countries.
-(The Balwick of) Jersey, Bermuda, Tristan da Cunha, The Cayman Islands, The Pitcairn Islands, Ascension (Island), Saint Helena, South Georgia (and the South Sandwich Islands), The British Antarctic Territory, The Falkland Islands, Turks and Cacos Islands, and Gibralter are british territories, not countries.
-The Cook Islands is a self-governing part of New Zealand
-The Ross Dependency is a territory of New Zealand, not a country.
-Antarctica is a continent, not a country
-it misses out Kurdistan, Holland, Sealand, A ton of Micronations, and possibly others.
-Trinidad and Tobago make up the same country.
-The independence of Northern Cyprus (or The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) from the rest of Cyprus is officially recognised by only one other country - Turkey.
-The Isle of Man (properly spelt as Mann, not Man) is a self governing part of the united kingdom - not a seperate country.
-The Northern Mariana Islands and Puerto Rico are self-governing parts of the US.
-Hong Kong is part of China, Previously a British Territory bought from China, and then part of China before that.
-The Faroe Islands and Greenland are currently Danish territories. (although Greenland is vouching for independence)
-The Aland islands are a finnish province.
-Aruba and The Netherlands Antilles are Dutch territories.
-Svalbard is a Norwegian province.
-Peter I Island and Queen Maud Land are Norwegian territories, not countries.
-The Virgin Islands are actually split into the British Virgin Islands (which is a british territory, not a country), and the U.S. Virgin Islands (which, once again, is a U.S. territory, not a country)

...

Maybe I just feel like picking holes in things, k? <.<
