Rainbowball of Doom

Bleh, I don't really see why it's referred to as a Beachball of Death, it normally goes away within a couple of seconds :P

The questions were too americanised - other than the science ones, you'd really have to be american to know the answers. There are also some questions that have answers where the answers that are marked as correct are only correct in america, but not elsewhere.

Otherwise, seems like a decent game.

I don't really think this is that bad nor that great, hence the score.

Only reason I'm leaving a review is in reply to your 'author's comments'. The Llama Song is a newgrundian innovation :P

You write some of the best stories for mute characters. There's just something about your stories that interests me immensely, and compels me to watch almost in an intrigued trance.

Love your flashes, keep them up!

Music Catch 2

"Gilipilogsy"

submission: Music Catch 2
date: March 16, 2009

If I'm absolutely honest, when I first read the title "Music Catch 2", my immediate thoughts were "oh god, not another classic ruined by a crappy sequel"

This is far from just another crappy sequel though - it doesn't ruin the original, it builds upon it, using perfection as a starting point and getting better from there. I loved the first game, and this is just amazing. I find that playing music through this is even more enjoyable than listening to it straight out. Just a shame you can't use files from your computer.

The game really is the epitome of interactive art, it takes two art forms and fuses them together in such a beautiful way that's almost indescribable. This may sound mindless praising, but this game really is the purest, more beautiful game I've ever played.

Thanks for making it.

On a side note, some songs that work well with the game once you've unlocked the ability to play songs from a URL are Heart Of The Winter by Danman87, Eleanor Rigby (cover) by AlexSandford, Burden by Hania, and The Composer by Jazza.

Narwhals

To Weebl: As always, the animation was good, the song was catchy, well made flash, but it has one downfall. You've used the exact same basic idea for a flash several times now. This flash feels pretty much exactly the same as Profiteroles, Do You Have A Waffle, Owls, Mango, and Kenya. (Albeit made better due to increasing skills, and possibly because of co-operating with other authors now where you didn't in the past)

Had this been a first-of-it's-kind, I would have given this a 10 - the animation is superb, the audio is catchy, high quality, well produced for the flash, and very fitting, and the underlying idea is a highly unique one. But you're over-using the same idea in a way that's truly annoying. For that, I'm giving this a 7.

It would really help if you were able to take a recording of sync when you were finished syncing and perfect it in a piano roll.

These Pancakes Are Tiny

Very decent animation along with voice acting, but your amazingly realistic sense of humour is this flash's strong point. It's been a while since I've seen situation humour originating from or based in the US that hasn't had either something incredibly surreal and unrealistic happening or have the characters acting ridiculous and like no-one else in real life would.

Overall great flash ^_^

Author's Response:

Thanks! I love me some situational comedy. I know I kinda went towards the crass side at the end there, but I think the way people interact with each other can be funnier than the best cock joke.

Great game, almost perfect, ALTHOUGH

- The loading screen for tanks should have a search box
- You should be able to specify what you're saving (ie a bot, a level, a bot-part <such as tank-tracks>, etc.)
- A "Polygon" tool for nonspecific shapes.
- A tool for Tracks/elastic bands/etc. that would wrap to the wheels/shape/etc.
- The ability to take chunks out of a shape or assortment with other shapes. (ie this would allow you to easily make crescents)
- The ability to set the solidity of an object. (ie so you could make a shape as hard as a rock like they are now or as soft and malleable as a bubble)

Great game ^_^ 5/5 and 9/10.
